Meet Dwantavia

Dwantavia is a devoted mother of two—a 12-year-old and her 6-month-old son, Dallas, born 4 months early. Tragically, Dallas’ twin sister passed away during childbirth, and Dallas spent 131 days in the NICU. Despite the challenges, including moving and caring for her older child, Dwantavia has remained resilient. She is starting college in January to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She hopes to also go pre-med, all because of her personal experience with Dallas and his sister. She wants to give back in the ways the many doctors and nurses gave to her. A year of free rent would provide her family with much-needed stability, allowing Dwantavia to spend more time with her children, focus on Dallas’ development, and dedicate herself to her education.
