The mission of this campaign is to spread awareness about the widening wealth gap in our city of Atlanta and to help give three residents a much needed leg up going into 2024.

Roots and our non-profit partner Helping Hands will go through the nominations, selecting 20 individuals. They will all apply and the top 9 will be chosen.

There is a huge problem mounting across the country with credit card, auto-loan, and student debt now totaling over 5 trillion dollars. Adding to this, is the fact that the average renting family has less than $650 in savings… That’s not even one month's rent, heck that may not even be half of one month's rent. This means that most people are one emergency away from being in serious financial hardship. With Atlanta ranking last in upward mobility, something must be done. We created this campaign to help bring awareness to these issues and to help 3 Atlanta residents get a much needed leg up in 2024.
